Many of Grace Galleries' large collection of original, antique maps & sea charts are captured on this disc in the form of TIF and JPG file formats. These images are taken from maps of the late 16th to the 19th century by web designer John W. Snowe and are made available on this CD. There are photos of complete maps and scans of sections of maps. Included is a selection of decorative artwork such as compass roses, sea serpents, sailing ships, animals, armorial motifs with crowns and shields; and ornamental cartouches that enclosed the map titles.
The
CD is designed for graphic designers, illustrators, art
directors and artists and is in both PC and Mac
formats.
While no copyright exists on the maps themselves, Grace
Galleries retains the rights to the copyright on the CD and it's
contents.
